Terry De Gunzburg* launched her label, By Terry, in 1998 while she was still the creative director of YSL Beauté. She favors products that combine cutting edge formulas made from the purest botanical extracts and protective ingredients that deliver a natural-looking radiance. Her By Terry Baume de Rose lip balm as well as her Light-Expert Foundation are considered makeup staples by beauty editors and the fashion set alike.
The By Terry Or de Rose Baume Precieux (pictured above) is the ultimate in luxury lip treatments. It is Ms. De Gunzburg’s Baume de Rose reinvented with a luscious gold shine. This creamy soft pink shimmers with 24-karat rose gold and is enriched with 26 cutting-edge, active ingredients known for their regenerative and youth-boosting properties. The lightweight texture ensures its effortless to apply, leaving you with a natural, rosy glow that is subtly iridescent with no sticky residue. This rich salve hydrates, rejuvenates and protects the lips while giving them shine… And have I mentioned the delicate rose scent? It is absolute heaven!
*It is interesting to note that Ms. De Gunzburg happened upon her career as a makeup artist by accident. In 1975, while in Paris (studying medicine and then art), she decided to take a class with beauty mavens Maria and Rosy Carita, the sisters behind the renowned Carita salon on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This lead to her becoming a makeup artist, giving her the opportunity to collaborate with top photographers like Helmut Newton and David Bailey. In 1985, she was hired by Yves Saint Laurent to grow the cosmetic line. There, she developed one of the brand’s best-sellers: Touche Éclat, the brush-on concealer-highlighter hybrid that’s often been described as “eight hours of sleep in a pen.”
