yellow roses

It’s been overcast for most of the week in San Francisco (typical weather for this time of year), so these yellow roses* were a delightful gift to receive. They bring to mind cheerful feelings of happiness and warmth. I am in love with these golden beauties!

*It is interesting to note that yellow roses have a much shorter history than other varieties. The first cultivated rose appeared in Asian gardens almost 5,000 years ago. However, it wasn’t until the 18th century that yellow roses were found growing wild in parts of the Middle East.
