The Isabel Marant girl is playful, bohemian and effortlessly cool, just like the Parisienne designer herself. Marant’s collections have become the off-duty uniform of the fashion pack. For Isabel Marant SS 2015 she was influenced by the graphic style of modern art painters like Antoni Tàpies and Joan Miró. She also incorporated tribal elements that came in the form of tunics with fringe finishes, raffia trims, rope ties and short Grecian dresses accessorized with simple gladiator sandals. The overall feel was clean and contemporary, but in keeping with the Isabel Marant aesthetic, hemlines were kept short.
The palette was mostly monochromatic – black and white with rust red added for richness. All the Marant signatures were there: tailored silhouettes, a strong shouldered jacket and flirty mini dresses. Isabel Marant designs with her customers in mind – these clothes weren’t made just for the runway, they were made to end up in your closet!
