Clare Waight Keller, the Creative Director at Chloé, has designed gorgeous, accessible fashion since her appointment to the French house in 2011. She delivers clothes that are not only photo shoot ready, but are serious wardrobe contenders for the modern woman.
Keller described elements of Chloé’s AW 2015 collection as about the “gentlewoman – gentle on the inside but with a clean, sharp exterior.” She sent models down the runway in super-long, officer’s coats and flared pants as well as other delicate pieces (billowing blouses and floor-sweeping maxis). I love the strong coat silhouettes and the long, sheer folksy dresses with gathers and ties. The visual juxtaposition of the masculine and feminine proved a potent mix.
Must-have accessories included skinny neck scarves, lace-up boots and cross body handbags finished with swish worthy tassels. This season the Chloé woman is elegant and confident yet still free-spirited. An irresistible combination to the fashion set and real women alike.
